13 June 2011 – The Great Ocean Road

16 Jun

Ever since I lived in Ireland and travelled the Antrim Coast, I’ve wanted to drive the Great Ocean Road (which I realise is a bit backwards). My Mum knew this, which is why my birthday gift (another one!) from her was a bus trip of said road. It was a long day, but totally wonderful – well, except for the bus driver who I was convinced was falling asleep at the wheel. The especially wonderful part was when Zanne and I flew in a helicopter above the Apostles – so effing rad!! Unfortunately we forgot our camera charger so all our pics were taken on our iphones (until both our phones died too!). But it doesn’t really matter cos photos couldn’t capture how overwhelming those limestone cliffs were. Can’t wait to drive the road with kids in tow!
